Vaughn Booker Guest Lecture: Mother Rebecca Cox Jackson and the Black Shaker Religious Experience

Presented in conjunction with POWER by Reggie Wilson/Fist and Heel Performance Group, this guest lecture offered by Dr. Vaughn A. Booker, Assistant Professor of Religion, African and African American Studies, Dartmouth College explores the life of Black Shaker Eldress Mother Cox Jackson and the spiritual practices of Black Shakers within the African American spiritual experience.

The event is free and open to the public, and is funded in part by a New Hampshire Humanities Community Project Grant.
